John Taylor -

John grew up in the midst of the rich music traditions of Stone County's Arkansas Ozarks where he absorbed the music of his community and began to play on the banjo, fiddle, and dobro. A self-taught musician, he soon began to excel on his chosen instruments. Like others born with music in their blood, John's interest in music is not limited to that which has been "handed down" to him. He easily crosses the so-called musical lines and is equally at home with bluegrass and country styles. While John is a contemporary link in a long and important chain of a living music tradition, the real reason for listening to his music over and over again is the sheer pleasure and joy it brings.

Gentry Taylor -

I have known Gentry since he was about five years old. I've watched him develop his musical abilities from his days singing "Take Me Back to Tulsa" at the Ozark Folk Center in Mountain View several years ago to the fine musician he has now become. It's been a privilege to teach him some of my licks and arrangements of several songs he now performs so well. It thrills me to hear my influence in his music along with the way he takes my demonstrations and suggestions and puts his own interpretation into the tune and makes it his own. I'm really proud of Gentry and look forward to seeing where his music will take him - he's come so far already that the sky's the limit for this talented young fellow.

J.W. Taylor -

There isn't adequate space to list all the good qualities of this young man. So, I'll just say it like this: great picker, true friend, and no slouch at golf either.

Jennifer Taylor -

There is so much to say about Jennifer's love of music. She participated in choir almost every year she could while in elementary and high school and had the privilege of attending the Southwest American Choral Directors Honor Choir. She had the privilege of pursuing her dream of singing for a living when she married Gentry and got the chance to sing the type of music she loves.

Barbara Taylor -

Creatively gifted and unafraid as evident by her contributions to St. Jude's Hospital in Memphis and Toys for Tots in Mountain View. All made possible through Barbara's unique talent and initiative. My "daughter" - my friend.
